Meet Our Founder – Karen Oakes

Karen’s career may have begun in corporate accountancy and HR, but she soon found herself drawn to the deeper motivations and relationships that drive people. Karen retrained in counselling, family work, and psychotherapy, establishing a private practice in 2006.

Over time, she observed that many of her clients, often business owners and senior professionals, experienced significant isolation and pressure. This insight motivated her to pursue an ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching, integrating her extensive therapeutic background with executive development to offer a unique, psychologically-informed approach to coaching.

She now brings nearly two decades of therapeutic insight to her work, focusing on purposeful and meaningful career alignment.

Karen is dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with their capabilities and confidence. Her coaching style is both compassionate and challenging, providing honest feedback aimed at fostering growth and success.

She recognises that effective coaching addresses both business objectives and the personal goals of individuals, believing that when these align, great achievements follow. She emphasises the importance of strong leaders who are willing to grow and adapt, supporting clients in their personal and professional transformations to unlock their own potential and that of their teams.
